FSSLS Funding
 First Step Supported Living Services (FSSLS) accesses financial assistance
from a variety of public and private sources. First, FSSLS is vendored with
the Regional Center of Orange County, which remains the primary funding source
for this program. Additionally, whenever possible, FSSLS makes use of generic
resources available to individual consumers. Currently the additional on-going
funding sources used by the consumers in the FSSLS program include In-Home
Support Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Medi-Cal and Cal Optima,
California Children's Services (serving individuals until the age of 21), Social Security Income (SSI), and Social Security Disability Income (SSDI).
Additionally FSSLS applies for special grant monies, solicits cash and product
donations, and has fund-raising events to supplement the regular funding.
